WHY i train with fleet feet...
I train with Fleet Feet because... of the life long friends I have made, I am healthier then I have been in years, we/they give back to the local community, they challenge me to be better, they love Columbus, just as much as I do! We are family!
I train with Fleet Feet because... It has motivated me to accomplish things I never thought possible (hello THREE marathons) while also keeping me accountable, everyone I have met through the group runs is always super friendly, I love to buy local and support local businesses while still get the quality products I love for running, the Wednesday speed workouts burn so good; When you're new to a city, it can be hard to make friends... but not in MIT!
I train with Fleet Feet because... the inspiration it gives to myself and others,the support from other coaches and participants, waking up every Saturday knowing I am going to see my closest/craziest friends, the great advice and training tips from beginners to advanced runners, the store employees will go above and beyond to make sure ones experiences are individualized, the MIT community will help you push through and believe in yourself and the hard work you have put in. We move this town!
I train with Fleet Feet because... it made my “only doing this once” race into a lifestyle, there is so much information out there and MIT filters it down and brings the experts to us, you are never alone in the trail, with so many pace groups I can speed up or slow down and still have a group to run with, running in the cold/rain is better with friends!
I train with Fleet Feet because... I’ve met some of my closest friends during those long hours on the trail, we quite literally help change people’s lives, every Saturday morning is full of so many smiles, our group is full of encouraging each other that we CAN and we WILL reach our goals, it made me a total badass runner, which is something I was always so sure I would never be, it has allowed me watch so many strong men and women overcome their doubts and fears.
I train with Fleet Feet because... there’s a pace group for everyone, I get to see my friends every week and race together, I would probably never have been able to run a marathon without the support of all of the coaches, even when I don’t feel like running that week I know that there are people who look forward to seeing me, I’ve never met a more supportive group of people, whether you’re Qualifying for Boston or running your first half marathon there is something for everyone here.
I train with Fleet Feet because... MIT is my Columbus. The places and activities of this city I know about are all because of where we run and the people with whom I share my running time.When I’m running with MIT I am my best self. Bad days disappear and angers fade. I am always excited to run with my MIT friends. I’m inspired by each and every single person in this running community.
I train with Fleet Feet because... they helped make me – at 50 – the healthiest, fastest, best I have ever been and for the realization that this is only the beginning. Showing me my personal best. Making me an example ~ a role model for my two daughters
I train with Fleet Feet because... It has changed me for the better from both a physical and a mental perspective, given me confidence not only in races but at work, although running results are individualized it takes an entire team to help me achieve those results, I have spent some of the best Saturday mornings in my life with an awesome group of like-minded individuals since December 2005
I train with Fleet Feet because... of the coaches, the positive support across all groups, the training plan, the water stops every 2 miles, variety of group run locations, the bagels, and there is allways someone to run with each and every Saturday who become my new running friends!
I train with Fleet Feet because... MIT has given me motivation, strength, and discipline that has helped me running and in everyday life, I used to go to AA meetings every day; Now I run every day. This is what starts my morning and gives me clarity and direction for the day.I would never imagine I would be running marathons! The power of the group has pulled me through. Definitely has made me a better runner. You find you can push yourself just a little but farther.
I train with Fleet Feet because... the great coaches that provide excellent advice, they have helped me develop long lasting healthy habits, and I have met so many people & types of runners opened my thoughts of "who a runner is!"
I train with Fleet Feet because... they have taught me to push myself on a Saturday morning when I would rather stay in bed, Monday night Pub Runs, Thursday night runs, the coaches are an inspiration, the friends that I have made, and they have taught me to explore areas of town on foot that i wouldn't normally go.
