How does it work?
The Movement is a healthy lifestyle program.
We are firm believers that everyone can be healthier and more mindful in their daily life and we want to help you start the journey toward a healthier you!
• You weigh in at one of 3 locations (only once a week) and we will track your weight loss. If you attended 8 out of 10 weigh-ins and lose 2% of your body weight you get $25 and if you lose 5% of your body weight you get another $25!
• We reward you for participation through our online blog, you will have opportunities to win prizes from Saucony by showing up and participating!
• Each week you will be able to log in to our online blog to direct you for the week. It will consistof a fitness challenge and nutrition challenge for you to attempt daily, a quick recipe, upcoming event details, and articles or information that we find helpful for maintaining positivity and success.
• We have a closed/private online blog portal. Here you can keep track of EVERYTHING, connect with other participants and stay engaged in the program. Most importantly there will be multiple opportunities weekly to get together with the group and have fun making connections with like-minded people.
How do I know if this program is for me?
This program is appropriate for all ability levels and body shapes. We intend to help you focus on what struggles you face regarding your health whether it be weight, diet, strength, body image, mindfulness etc. We have a slew of resources and connections in our network to help guide you so no question or struggle is too big or small.
So what is involved?
A Typical Sunday
Sunday at Fleet Feet Columbus we offer a core class with Marie Miller from 614 Fitness starting at 10am and invite Movement participants to attend. Following core, we begin weigh-ins briefly until 11am. At 11am we either take off for a group walk and talk OR we circle up for the group talk where we share ideas, struggles and joys. We alternate between the walk and the group talk each week. New this session we are moving the Sunday walk/talk and support group to Sundays at FrontRunner Worthington! You can still participate even if you can not attend any events. Worthington is a short 8 minute drive from our Polaris store
Weigh-ins are also offered at FrontRunner Lane and Worthington between 12 and 5pm. There is an optional yoga class offered at Lane ave on Sunday at 10am that cost movement participants $5.
A Typical Wednesday
Wednesday's we offer weigh-ins at all 3 locations from 10am to 8pm. This session we are boasting events practically every Wednesday!! We offer cooking demos, craft events, and even medical talks. You will receive an events calendar upon registration with time, event details and location!
