Marathoner In Training (MIT) has been the most respected name in group training since it was founded in 2001. We have helped over 9,000 individuals reach the over 20,000 half and full marathon finish lines. Collectively, we have logged over 5 million miles since the group was launched. 2020 was supposed to a celebration. A celebration of twenty years of changing lives, one mile at a time.

 

COVID-19 has changed the very fabric of our existence. While we may not be heading off on group workouts for the foreseeable future, we will not be stopped from changing lives.

2020 Pandemic Edition.

It is unsure if we will be crossing a physical finish line anytime soon. Do not let that deter you from striving to move forward. After all, it is the journey that gets you there that matters most.

 

The MIT Trial of Miles is an engaging, challenging, and social experience. Yes, there is a training schedule with a hypothetical goal race. There will be weekly motivational and educational emails. We will change your life, one mile at a time.

EARN YOUR BADGES

  • 5K Finish – complete a virtual or physical 5K

  • 10K Finish – complete a virtual or physical 10K

  • 13.1 Finish – complete a virtual or physical Half Marathon

  • 26.2 Finish – complete a virtual or physical Full Marathon

  • 50K Finish – complete a virtual or physical 50K

  • Relay Finish – complete the inaugural Jeff Glaze Memorial MIT Virtual 24-Hour Relay – Team size is up to you, but your virtual relay baton must keep moving forward. Details coming soon!

  • One of the following:

    • 250 Club – log 250 miles from June 8 to October 18

    • 500 Club - log 500 miles from June 8 to October 18

    • 1,000 Club - log 1,000 miles from June 8 to October 18

  • Challenge Champ – Complete 15 out of 20 weekly challenge

  • Social Leader – Actively grow and promote the group through social media. Refer 5 new members to the group to earn the badge.
